4th Haiyan/Yolanda Outreach (1st Leg: Pastrana, Leyte)

???????????????????????????????By Pastor Glem Melo

???????????????????????????????The Lord blessed our 4th outreach to Haiyan/Yolanda victims-survivors. The 1st leg of our 5-day journey was in Pastrana, Leyte. It was my joy and privilege to visit, fellowship with, minister God’s word to and pray for our brothers and sisters at Christ Baptist Church in the supertyphoon-devastated municipality. Our team also provided for them a substantial amount of church rebuilding assistance, meat packs for each family and a good meal together.

???????????????????????????????To date, the roofs of their church building has been reconstructed (you can view pictures of its previous condition here), but all members of the congregation still live in makeshift structures.

Please continue praying for our Baptist brothers and sisters in Pastrana, Leyte. Ask the Lord to continue to give them much grace and strength.

???????????????????????????????For more pictures of our Pastrana outreach, please view Open Eyes Mission’s Facebook album here.

About New Hope

We are a community of people who believe in and live for Jesus Christ. We embrace and proclaim the Gospel as taught in the Bible and explained in the teachings of the Reformation: Salvation is by grace alone (sola gratia) because of Jesus Christ alone (solus Christus), received through faith alone (sola fide), based on the teachings of the Bible alone (sola scriptura), all for the glory of God alone (soli Deo gloria). SALVATION IS BY GRACE ALONE, THROUGH FAITH ALONE, BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE, BASED ON THE TEACHINGS OF THE BIBLE ALONE, ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ALONE.
