Last week, March 14, Wednesday, we opened our very first Children’s “Play and Grow” Room in an evacuation center. A short but deeply moving program was held with the camp manager and the evacuees. By God’s providence, Ben Hoogendoorn, Debbie Toribio and others from Food for the Hungry were present as guests. They gave away vitamins for the little children.
After that, we went to the children’s room to open a box of toys, books and other fun and educational stuff from Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship. The children had a blast! They played with the toys and browsed the books with much joy and excitement. And thanks to our faithful workers and volunteers, the children’s room is open 4 hours a day for the well-being and growth of children flood victims-survivors.
Lord willing, we will open a bigger Children’s “Play and Grow” Room in the Calaanan Tent City. And this as we continue to conduct and coordinate…
