God Blessed our Reformed Basics Seminars in South Cotabato

Article 27 of our Belgic Confession states,

“This holy church is preserved by God against the fury of the whole world, although for a while it may look very small and as extinct in the eyes of man. Thus during the perilous reign of Ahab, the Lord kept for Himself seven thousand persons who had not bowed their knees to Baal.”

We found this to be true in South Cotabato.

Through two (2) Reformed Basics Seminars – in Surallah and Koronadal/Marbel – pastors and believers from 6 churches (5 of which are new church plants) received the Gospel of regeneration and justification by grace alone because of Jesus Christ alone, received through faith alone.

Elder Jim Ouano (Marawi) teaches the Reformed Doctrines of Total Depravity and Regeneration to the members of the mission church in Surallah.

Please continue to pray for the pastors and believers in South Cotabato who are being reformed by the Holy Spirit and the word of God. Pray especially for the membership classes that, God willing, will be started in three (3) mission churches there.

May the Lord continue to reform churches in the Philippines through His Holy Spirit and word, for the salvation of the lost and the sanctification and preservation of believers in Christ.

Soli Deo gloria!

About New Hope

We are a community of people who believe in and live for Jesus Christ. We embrace and proclaim the Gospel as taught in the Bible and explained in the teachings of the Reformation: Salvation is by grace alone (sola gratia) because of Jesus Christ alone (solus Christus), received through faith alone (sola fide), based on the teachings of the Bible alone (sola scriptura), all for the glory of God alone (soli Deo gloria). SALVATION IS BY GRACE ALONE, THROUGH FAITH ALONE, BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST ALONE, BASED ON THE TEACHINGS OF THE BIBLE ALONE, ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ALONE.
